¿Qúe son los Badlands?
Los badlands son formaciones típicas de paisajes áridos, donde las lluvias son poco frecuentes pero descargan con gran intensidad. Estos terrenos se caracterizan por su escasa vegetación, lo que junto a las lluvias anteriormente mencionadas, provocan que se erosione la superficie de manera muy agresiva.
Se caracterizan, además, por su peculiar terreno arenoso, las cuestas empianadas y la formación de barrancos, chimeneas, cárcavas, etc. Estas cualidades mencionadas provocan que se un terreno de difícil tránsito. Caídas y resbalones son muy frecuentes en estos terrenos, por lo que la visita debe ser tomada con seriedad y precaución.
