¿Se puede ver la Vía Láctea a simple vista?
Somos muchos los aficionados a las noches de arena, toalla y sudadera mirando a las estrellas. ¿Te has preguntado alguna vez si se puede ver nuestra galaxia a simple vista? La respuesta es SÍ. Pero no hay que olvidar ciertos matices como lo son la contaminación lumínica, la meteorología y la época del año, pues la visibilidad del Centro Galáctico tiene una temporada. En base a esta idea, os traigo una guía (mapa incluido) como plan alternativo por si algún día no sabes qué hacer en verano y te preguntas qué hacer en Águilas.
¿Dónde puedo ver la Vía Láctea?
En cualquier sitio. Sí, en cualquier sitio puedes verla, pero como he comentado, la contaminación es tu gran enemiga en esta aventura, por lo que debes procurar alejarte lo máximo de los núcleos urbanos. ¿Cuánto tienes que distanciarte? Proporcionalmente al tamaño de tu núcleo, pero si quieres ser más preciso, te adjunto una web que te presenta un mapa de contaminación lumínica donde te presenta por zonas los mejores sitios para poder tener una claridad excepcional.

¡Arranca el coche!, toca poner rumbo hacia Calabardina. En el camino nos encontramos la Playa del Arroz, una de esas playas que es mencionada pero tal vez no conozcas bien o incluso no hayas estado nunca. Es una playa, por lo general, bastante tranquila, donde los pescadores suelen lanzar sus plomos a la espera de que algún pez pique su anzuelo. ¡Ellos sí que saben de lo que hablo!

A la izquierda de esta playa se encuentra Cabo Cope, un espacio natural y protegido que se presenta como un gran saliente de origen calcáreo y que se encuentra entre los cabos de Palos (Cartagena) y Gata (Almería). Marina de Cope
Si hasta ahora hemos estado visitando playas situadas a poniente de Cabo Cope, toca cruzar a Levante, donde nos encontramos el Parque Regional Marina de Cope, un espacio protegido de playas vírgenes que, en mi opinión, es el mejor lugar donde poder ver nuestra galaxia. Desde cualquier playa o cala, podemos verla, pero como os he comentado, cuanto más nos alejemos de los núcleos de contaminación lumínica, mejor. Por eso, he marcado como ubicación Calablanca, una de las más famosas de la zona y con mejor acceso.
